Raising money for St Germain's silent sports trails.
For the past 18 years, the Town of St. Germain and St Germain Silent Trails UA have hosted the Freedom 5k Fun Run in conjunction with the town's annual Independence Day celebration. The event has proven to be a resounding success, drawing participants from across the United States and around the world. The race course winds through the beautiful Awassa Trails property, which is owned by the Town of St. Germain. We are proud that we have been able to provide residents and vacationers a fun and healthy way to enjoy the beauty of our northwoods.
The 19th Freedom 5k is scheduled for Sunday, June 29, 2025. Proceeds from the race will be used for developing and maintaining the non-motorized recreational trails in our community, thereby promoting more healthy recreational opportunities for everyone. In 2022, the Fun Run committee presented the town with a donation of $5,000.00, bringing the fifteen year total to $70,332.00. |
